Event Coordinators

Summary

Event Coordinators create the conditions for successful gatherings. At the University of Minnesota, by definition, successful events enable inclusion for everyone, providing equitable experiences and access.

Importance of Your Role

The University hosts numerous events nearly every day, from athletic events to conferences and workshops to tours.

By policy, we are committed to providing equitable access to our programs, facilities, employment, and educational programs for students, faculty, staff, and guests with disabilities. Event coordinators play a key role in making this happen.

The ADA National Network also makes a market case for ensuring meetings and events are accessible to individuals with disabilities:

[T]here is a ground swell of individuals with a wide range of emerging functional needs that will force businesses to meet them where they are, or will find other vendors who can.
