Implementation Guidelines
Key audiences include:
- Leaders at the University of Minnesota
- Digital accessibility liaisons in each college, unit, and department
- University of Minnesota System employees who are responsible for maintaining university websites and other digital channels
- Supervisors who manage employees who maintain University websites and other digital channels
- Faculty members who need to meet policy requirements on any of their sites excluding those published in Canvas
Communication goals include:
- Communicate about the plan so employees and their supervisors are aware of their roles and responsibilities regarding digital accessibility
- Communicate resources related to digital accessibility and ensure that it is woven throughout materials at the University
- Communicate progress toward achieving the digital accessibility plan
- Communicate at least six months in advance of the adoption of new WCAG versions
Key communication channels include:
- Job descriptions for website editors
- Central and unit publications
- Drupal, IT, and academic technology groups across the University system
